About
Hey there! I am a mom of two (three if you count the dog…four if you count the husband). I was raised a Cali gal, but left the Golden State for the Midwest more than 20 years ago (and only look back in March when the rest of the world thinks it’s spring and we are knee deep in mud and thawing dog poop).
When I have free time, I love to read, cook, eat, entertain, drink, garden and shop. I love impractical high heels and worship Spanx, because as much as I think I workout, my post-40 body does not think I do enough. It is wrong, but oh well. I have traveled some (love Italy, NYC, Vegas and Hawaii), but not enough (Spain, Egypt, Tahiti — all on my bucket list!). We are currently planning a trip to Paris for 2, and a post HS grad trip to somewhere for my daughter. I am an active animal rescue volunteer, and usually have one or two extra dogs crowding my couch.
I started this blog when we were building our house, and now we continue building our home. But we are transitioning from a full house to an empty nest, and I am kind of okay with that. A little humor, a dash of wine, and a whole lot of volunteering make up my days.
Please follow me, and feel free to post any comments or questions. I am always willing to give far too much information! You can find me on Facebook as myself and running my Fosters to Forevers animal rescue page. I am also on Twitter, Goodreads, Pinterest and Instagram!
Hello.
I always check people’s about-pages. Yours is great. You could add Finland to your list where to visit.
Have a wonderful day!
I would love to — if the world ever opens up again!
You are a beautiful writer, thanks for sharing your story and letting us walk this journey with you.
